That is one HELL of a buck for anywhere in Idaho let alone OTC/DIY! Great buck muleyman!

Thanks for posting Tyler. For those who don't know, that is the highest scoring Idaho buck in about 2 decades, and OTC/DIY!

Really?? What did he score?? Not to take away from a great buck as he is nothing short of a STUD but... If your statement is true, where does that put Zach Shetler's 2 bucks over 220"??

Thanks for the compliments guys. For those interested in the numbers this was one of those bucks that was blessed genetically. He nets 203 5/8 typical P&Y which at the time of measuring (January 2008) made him the largest typical buck taken with a bow in Idaho in almost 20 years. Because he does have some trash his non typical score isn't too shabby either at 215 7/8 net P&Y. I know there are quite a few bucks that have been taken that score better non typical, who knows possibly even typical that was just the info I was given at the time. Either way, even if that buck would have only scored 170 I wouldn't have cared, that buck taught me more about myself and the limits I can push myself to so much that it completely changed the way I hunt and prepare for a hunt.
I truly hope everyone of you gets the opportunity at least once to have that same experience if you haven't already!

Thanks again
Muleyman

I should have mentioned I meant typical score when referring to Muleyman's buck. Yes, Zack's non typicals have more "inches", but as far as typicals go, Muleyman's is right up there with the best of them.

Here is another of Idaho's best archery bucks. My cousin Cody killed this buck in 2006. 198 gross 192 net typical!

I need to figure out how to avoid these thumbnails! But here are a couple of my personal favorites even though you have already seen them :)

That is a stud Robert, tell your cousin congrats on a GREAT buck! If I remember correctly wasn't it featured in a mag? I don't recall which one, but I thought Muley Crazy for some reason... I remember looking at his pics and reading his story and thinking/wishing " one day that'll be me!" :p

Brand new to ROKSLIDE

I schlooped a pretty good buck last year but it wasn't in the mountains. If I post him are you guys going to laugh me outta the forum..? Just incase, I've attached a different deer so that I don't catch a rep for being a flatlander!

My first muley with a bow, and it was my first solo backpack hunting trip.

one year later I took this buck a couple hundred yards away from where I killed the first one.
