So on occasion I dust off the 7 Rem Mag and hunt cow elk. What is your rifle or caliber of choice?

Christensen Arms Ridgeline in 280AI shooting 143gr Hammer Hunters at 3150fps is my elk medicine.

Savage lightweight hunter chambered in 284 Winchester. Shooting 140 gr accubonds around 3050fps. Or kimber Montana 30-06 shooting 165 gr interbonds just a shade over 3000fps. Depends on which my son wants to take.

Headed out in the morning, rifle packed in the truck is a Weathermark in 300 Weatherby with a 3-15x44 Leupold. Have a 180 TSX handload that is a .75 shooter.

I'll be taking my Mesa FFT in 6.5 prc out next week. Still debating on what bullet to use, Barnes 127 LRX or 143 ELDX. The LRX shoot quite a bit better but I just dont love the way they kill.

Cooper 92 in 280AI with a 6.5x-20x50 Meopta HTR and Hatch bipod. Shooting 155 Terminal Ascents. That, or an MOA Evolution 28Nos with an NXS 5.5-22X50 shooting 195 EOLs.

Headed out in the rain tomorrow with my new "Rokslide Special" 6.5Cm Tx3 Superlite topped with Trijicon Huron 3x9 in sportsmatch rings. Even found some green nail polish.

Mine was a Win M70 FWT 30-06 with 180gr PT. It'll probably get replaced with the new Remarms 700 7mm RM shooting either a 180gr ELDM or Berger 180gr Hybrid. I put the ADL in a used KRG and just started load work up. The last group shot 0.61" with the 180 ELDM's, it doesn't have more than 20 rounds down the tube.
