Brilliant! My book of lessons learned while 60 years of hunting whitetails, might be good reads but nothing beats personal experience, and yes, I spend every moment I can in the woods even during off season studying and watching those awesome woodland creatures. Never bought into someone's Elses thoughts, experiences or whatever they say, it's always different everyday you hunt, and I have killed a bunch of them in different situations and environments. Besides if I sit home and read a book about someone Elses adventures I am wasting time I could be having my own adventures.
Yep. If youve read the Benoit books theres not a ton new, just a different perspective. Its an easy read, goes fast, mostly stressing fundamentals with some juicy tidbits about deer habits and quirks. its lesson followed by recounting a hunt, repeat. All worthwhile especially if you hunt, or plan to hunt, in big woods setting, but not the most gripping read if its literature you’re after. Most folks will learn something.Hunting Big Woods Bucks: Secrets of Tracking and Stalking Whitetails?
Thanks!Has anyone read and care to review:

Will look for this (and a Benoit book-or two). Thanks!
Really like this book. The guy did basically a study on deer on his own place in western NY. Some of his moon phase theories might be out there but it’s helped me have some success in the woods.
