You wanting hunting goals or personal goals?
I'll go different than most:
1) Spend more time in His presence each day.
2) Be a better husband, father, grandfather, person
3) Read a leadership book each week (some may be ones I've already read, but I need a refresher), even though I've been retired for 8 years, He still has a purpose for my life in helping others until my last breath.
4) Get in better shape, thus loose a few pounds, the drier seems to be shrinking my clothes the last few months.
5) Work on getting to giving back 20% not just where we are currently doing.
6) Be less grumpier about doing yard work for the wife, gosh I hate flower beds, we have more sq. footage in flower beds than a majority of houses. I would rather be teaching my granddaughter how to grow and care for vegetables than spending time weeding, pruning, fluffing, etc. Lookie there, I'm already loosing this battle. Lord, I am thankful for all you have given me and entrusted me with on this Earth. Help me Holy Spirit to do all my work to Your Glory, and see it that way through my complaining. Do all work to Your Glory. Everything my hands touch to Your Glory.

I realize some may not agree with me on numbers 1,5, and 6, that is your prerogative, my house and I serve the Lord.

Get shoulder surgery so I can shoot my bow again. Make my lazy stepson get his own place. Convince my wife we don't need a new house, so I don't have to work like a slave until I die.

Hoping Elon offers a nice retirement package - I'm Ready.
Work has got in the way of quite a few tags over the years.
Will probably only put in for Sheep and maybe a Desert Muley tag this
year as my son and I are getting more into Waterfowl.
We do have an Idaho Bear trip planned this coming Spring.
Other than that, will continue with Lots of Fishing, Good Lord willing.

increase our saving account, by like triple what it is now.

I have a ton of projects for our house/property.

Buy my wife a new to us car.

I have some work/income goals.

fill my Washington deer tag.

Continue to create a life I don't need a vacation from.

I’m hoping to keep up my good attendance at Costco every day at 10:30 for the $1.50 hotdog and coke with the other old retired guys. Telling stories about our latest medications & surgeries, lying about fishing and hunting, shaking our heads about the latest generations, not to mention admiring all the stay at home moms and grandmas that get all dolled up to push grocery carts. Grab a $5 rotisserie chicken, box of grapes and refreshing beverage for the range and off we go. lol

Better health, slower pace of life, draw a tag or two, probably hunting solo so that will be different, currently entertaining a job offer that could be worth a change.

We just completed. our first year back in Europe and the family is already itching to go home.

I am itching to make right on the two failed chamois hunts I had and kill one this year. Also a stag.

If I get screwed into returning early, I am hoping to get a job in a place I actually want to live.

Would be nice to retire, but I want to hunt a hell of a lot more.

Wife lost some weight and I lost 10 pounds then went back to being fat. So I need to get on that.

Survive my senior year of college (going back to school after a big kid job with 3 weeks of pto and a decent salary sucks.)
Drop 25-30 pounds to hit 200 by deer season.
140” blacktail.
Get my girlfriend her first bear and hopefully my first with a recurve.

I really need to take conitrile of my weight and shed around 45-50 pounds. So much easier on my knees and joints.

I do pretty well hiking and hunting some big steep country now - can only imagine how much better it would be doing it at 205-210 pounds vs 250.
As someone who has been as heavy as 280, but hovered between 240-250 for roughly 5 years and is now 210, lost slowly over the last 2 years, I feel SO MUCH better, I move so much better.

My goals for 2025 are to spend as much time outside, be happy, slow down and enjoy the simple life. Thanks to this forum, I’ve spent way too much money on gear, so for 2025 my goal is use the gear, which will tie into the goals listed above.

Go run the fall HRC international grand in Nashville. With 900 dogs and a pass rate of 25ish% and first time handler it will be a big task but going to givem hell
