No, you can’t buy Google or Tesla..

But you can stop 1 piece of hunting gear from being produced.

What piece of equipment do you wish was never invented?

I’m going with the gps. I don’t think anything has impacted hunting more.

Ceracoat I’ve had multiple weapons done by multiple different “certified” applicators and I think it is single handedly the worst product ever.
It’s absolutely pos and I’ve always had a part chip, scratch etc by the end of the first range trip.
Absolutely junk

Can I say the whole internet? I’d settle for no Facebook, or no podcasts, or special interest groups. Information sharing has done more to kill opportunities than anything else since I first backpack hunted in the 1980’s. You had to want to learn and work hard at it to get the same off the shelf information found here. You couldn’t simply buy your way into the sport.

Ironic that what we are doing here right now is killing opportunities for the next generation, but we’re just a drop in the bucket, so we keep doing what we like to do.

Man, everything that comes to mind falls squarely in the "Good for me but not for thee" category.

I love OnX, but can't stand seeing so many new people in what were previously very remote, very hard-earned hunting spots that I know they wouldn't have sussed out without it. Side-by-sides, same thing - allowing people to get way out, way faster, into those same spots, instead of what I first had to do in a heavy, slow old truck. Range finders? Wouldn't be without mine, but I despise the fact they're allowing people to think they can take shots they're just not capable of making due to other factors. And let's not mention guys with guns - who needs guns? Be a better hunter and stick it with an atlatl.

I can't think of any piece of equipment I wish wasn't invented...for me. It's all the other people who shouldn't have it, right?

Anti biotics and vaccines and fertilizers and pesticides. Without these there’d be lot fewer humans. OTH I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t have survived childhood. Just too many peeps everywhere. We’re the most invasive species of all time.

the internet…

and yes I know that I am currently using it.
I'll refine that to Facebook, twitter, Tik tok, Linkebln, instgram. Corrupting our youth and turning adults into gossip fools. I will add, for those who buy into the crap on those platforms.
