So i bought s new tikka and a YHM R2. I specically got the R2 because it uses a interchangable rear mount. My specwar is great but if i want options in case Silencerco goes under and i can't get mounts. Plus it's heavy.
Anyway the yhm uses common 1 3/8"-24 mounts. I got a yhm rear and bought 5/8-24 and 1/2-28 direct threaded just in case.
The yhm qs adds length and weight. And rachets, not a huge fan, but it appears to lock up tight.
Direct is lighter shorter, but not sure i trust it enough to stay tight on a square shoulder.

I am kinda looking at the area 419 , q plan b, and dead xeno.

Any opinions or other recomendations?

We use Area 419 hellfires on our hunting setups between a TBAC 30CB9, Omega, and Hybrid. That is on my brother's rifle, dad's rifle, both my competition and hunting bolt guns. I personally really like Jon's system for that reason. Running multiple different brands of suppressors is made easy.

Having said that I have a YHM Turbo K and Resonator K that i got for myself and run Plan As on them because they're for the semis mostly. I'll be honest what you'll pay for deadair mounts isn't worth it to me and their availability is almost non existent. The most variety on a proven taper mount system is Griffin plan A by a long shot. Plan B has just the cherry bomb and it's awful. With Plan A on an R2 you'll pretty much be able to use anything under the OAL of the Flash Comp assuming the distance to blast baffle is the same as the resonator K.

Thanks, but i can never buy a Griffin productagain. I was severly burned by them, with a truely awful can and even worse CS.

I ended up with area 419 hellfire
Not shot it yet. But it seemes like a solid design.
