Pairing it with a Nemo sonic 0° bag. Not overly concerned with weight within reason just wondering which of the three wins out based on your experiences.

I have a Down Mat 9 and an Xtherm. I use the Xtherm for everything up until October, then the Down Mat wins out. The Down Mat is significantly heavier and larger (bulkier).

Agree with 5mile. I have the Down Mat 9, Down Mat 7 and Xtherm. The Down Mat 9 significantly heavier and bulkier than the Xtherm. But exponentially more comfortable. If weight and bulk aren't a big part of the equation, then the Down Mat wins. The Ether Lite isn't even in the conversation if you're looking at cold weather use.

I had the Xtherm for years, it is noisy but it didn’t bother me in the beginning. In the end, most probably from aging and injuries, I found I was uncomfortable and putting air in and out through the night and the noise added to the aggravation. After something nibbled away on the xtherm while stored at home, I replace it with the Exped UL winter LW. The exped is quieter and a lot more comfortable (I don’t adjust air through the night at all) but it is heavier and bulkier. I wish I had switched a couple years earlier.

Ordered the down mat 9 this afternoon! Looking forward to running it through the ringer this November.
