How does the Ultra 5 work? I plan to run that with my 7 SAUM.

It’s good. Obviously not the most sound deadening can but it works. For a hunt it is great. If you want more sound performance maybe the 7 is a better choice.

What’s the specs on that barrel? Contour? Length?

anyone experiment with adding something to the forend to make it comfier to carry in the cold like soft Velcro or something? didn't you put something @Mark at EXO ?

I used some of this stuff: https://amzn.to/49UW3W6. It adhered well and had a nice grip to it. Obviously, it isn't adding a big insulation benefit, but it was better than the direct metal contact.

I 3D printed a Arca cover with some soft spongy type filament. Seems like it works ok. Haven’t really tested it but if you want one let me know. It’s better than the bare metal and it slides on and off relatively easy. 6” long Weighs less than an oz

I am glad I found this post. I ordered an xlr element with a folding stock for my tikka 270. I just ordered a 25-06 barrel from x caliber to switch out. I am replacing my Athlon Midas tac with an swfa 3-15 and picked up a gunwerks elevate 2.0 bipod. Ordering all this stuff and waiting months for it to show up is torture. Hope I can get it to shoot!
