Love finally seeing a picture of the grey. I’ve got one coming for my 300 prc. Is that the RS 1.2? I’m also looking at swapping my current scope for that one.
Yes, it's the new Maven RS 1.2. I've only got 25 rounds or so with the new scope, but I like it so far. Only minor problem I have is using the black center dot against a black target.

Me too, as I have one on order and plan to order another one.

Got everything in! Big upgrade for the Christensen 300 prc. In addition to the XLR element mg, I’m going with the maven RS1.2. Happy with how this came out. XLR makes great stuff.

Anyone come up with a way to guard the chassis from cold? I hate touching the heat sink in the winter.
If you’re talking about the cheek rest.

How do you like the Maven. I am doing very similar rifle build and am leaning heavy twards the Maven Scope

So far I have no complaints, but I haven't shot it much either. 20 or 30 rounds at the range, no actual hunting or field use yet.

He picked the color.

Bergara B-14R Steel

Bushnell TRS-25

Griffin Checkmate

Will get a Maven RS1.2 on it soon and then once that acclimation period is over I have a Defiance Classic to put a 223 barrel on with a Scythe Ti.

Have components on order

Tikka action: 30oz
4.0 magnesium element: 22oz
Grip and stock: 15oz
xcaliber 20” cf barrel 6mm cm: 36oz
MDT 3 rnd mag 2oz
Trijicon 2.5-15. 21oz
Direct thread dead air nomad ti 9oz

Total weight should be: 8.4ish fully loaded. I used to go after light weight rifles 5ish lbs, but for me under 9lbs fully loaded is pretty damn good and they are just really really shoot able

I’ll have to weigh it but grabbed an xlr element 3.0 for 340$ my savage 16 LWH which is accurate, but has one of the worst stocks around. Not sub 7lb gun anymore but it is awesome to shoot! Plus I won’t feel bad at all about rebarreling that rifle now that it has a decent stock on it

I meant the forend. That mg gets cold... like gloves stick to it cold.

I'm good with everything except the smoke stock. I killed a bull and was under him rolling it for a position shift. He came down hill and I jumped out of the way....except a tree branch stuck through the stock and stopped me. I was able to jump and kick my toes up as the bull hit my knees....but I nearly got smoked. I am looking to close up the center hole now so that can never happen again.
