X Bolt speed 2 lightweight set up.

You don't need anything more than 10x for East Coast hunting. You can get a Trijicon 3-9 (pick the model that fits your budget) which will light enough and bulletproof.
I live in Colorado, grew up on the east coast and that’s the magnification we always used.

Disregard my last, the one I was looking at on the website has a 22 inch barrel. I want the 18 inch which weighs 6lbs 2 ounces, plus a 14 ounce scope and an estimated 8 ounce suppressor would put me at 7 lbs 8 ounces.

UL rifles with factory options are hard if you're actually counting ounces. Scope bases, rings, sling, magazine, ammo, thread adapter on your can, etc.

I favor light weight everything on a rifle but my advice is to focus solely on your rifle and scope weight and the final weight will fall where it is. What I'm saying is a 6 pound bare rifle will always result in a 2 pound less final weight than a 8 pound bare rifle, use a 1" scope tube, Talley 1 piece rings, etc and be happy with it.

A light rifle is great, but if you're truly going lightweight you can save 2 pounds in your backpack WAY EASIER than 2 pounds on your rifle. Heck, losing 2 pounds through exercise will save you the weight and get you in better shape!

If I was a dick I would tell you that loading only 1 round in your rifle will save you 4 ounces.
