Wyoming Elk

My Dad drew unit 25/27 for this fall. We will be hunting for a week of archery in September as well as a week for rifle in October. We have hunted Elk in CO & MT unsuccessfully. Both of those hunts were OTC/easily drawn areas. This will likely be his one chance at a limited draw area.

My question is if anyone that has hunted this area or lives in the area would be willing to discuss it thru private message?

We are from Ohio so we were not able to make it out this summer to put boots on the ground. We have spoke with the biologist, game warden and done e-scouting. I'm trying to gather as much info as possible to hopefully makes this trip successful for my Dad.

We have also hunted Wyoming deer and antelope successfully and I can try to provide any help on those species as well.

Just because you're from Ohio doesn't mean you can't scout. We will drive 21 hours one way to scout for a couple days. Casper also has flights and rental cars. Of course there are other options.

I get it. Just wasn't in the cards this summer due to other vacations previously planned and family events.
