Wyoming Draw

My outfitter reached out confirming my W general tag today...I guess they know before the applicants. Looks like I better start getting into shape

How many points did you have?

If you applied with max points then it doesn’t take a crystal ball to know you drew…?

I had six points. It's a very reputable outfitter, and they don't need any payment for another 4-months so it's not money driven. Apparently WY notifies outfitters through a separate process.

I figured I'd draw, but there was always that outside chance point creep would keep me out of the game.

Looks like all 3 NR general regions had 100% draw with 6 points last year, so I'd think that checks out.

All states give special treatment to outfitters.
Requiring a guide for certain areas or hunts is a prime example.

Guides are residents and vote.
Nonresident hunters are just customers who pay the bills.

Here we go again

Outfitters can get early results, so I have been told.

Checking to see if that is actually the case.

".... we did some checking and learned that because of some updated programming, there was some information which became available yesterday afternoon that could lead an outfitter to make an assumption of being drawn or not.
........ that situation has been corrected."

I wasn't aware of a new backdoor after the latest web site updates, sorry if you knew and I inadvertently got it closed. I assumed licensing was just giving out the results.
