Wyoming draw

As I look at the draw report it appears that a bunch of folks jumped in applying for tags this year.
I got nothing.
I applies for antelope in the special that last year had 17 applicants,
This year there was 105 applicants for the tag. It's crazy !
I think a lot of undecided applicants Unit hop based on only the previous years applications.

Technically, you didn't draw that tag with 1 point.
I believe me and another hunter were the only people to ''draw'' our tags in Area 78 for antelope. Everyone else that was awarded tags in area 78 ''earned'' them by accumulating enough preference points.
So technically speaking...................how I got my tag is the true essence of ''drawing'' a tag. I knew with only one point going in that I only had a snowball's chance in hell of drawing a tag. I was extremely lucky, and I know it.
That is the thing about Wyoming's point system. Most tags are awarded for earned points and a small portion are awarded through a random drawing.

Congrats, I'd hunt that area every year if I could draw it. I saw some good Bucks but it was 2012 and I had Doe tags. No idea what's in there now.

Congrats to those who drew - we were on a trip overseas near the deadline and I completely spaced the antelope app this year. I’m sure I’ll see some dandy bucks running around since I won’t have a tag in my pocket. Maybe next year!
