I drew 22 also. You doing private ground or public ?We were successful, going to be in unit 22 with my Dad for his first western hunt, I’m pumped
That unit is always at least my second choice. But I live there, haha. Good luck on the elk!I drew a tag in the Buffalo area. Fortunately but unfortunately I drew a banger elk tag that runs at the same time so I probably won't even get to hunt it.

And it’s not going to get any better. I am back to 3 points now and plan to wait another 4 years or so my daughter and I, when she’s 12-14 can do one fun daddy/daughter camping and hunting trip with the tag. It’s sobering to see the trend.I can’t believe how bad this has become… we went 0/4 in a unit that used to be available as leftover tags. Then it went to second choice. Then it went to first choice with 0 points. Now it’s become this.
We’re doing public, I don’t have any connections up there to try and find private land to access, we have one of the cabins rented at Indian Campground in BuffaloI drew 22 also. You doing private ground or public ?
Never have and am convinced we will never draw antelope tags in wyoming. This state shits on residents. Thankful there are better opportunities in neighboring states.
It's sad.I can’t believe how bad this has become… we went 0/4 in a unit that used to be available as leftover tags. Then it went to second choice. Then it went to first choice with 0 points. Now it’s become this.
Did my first antelope hunt in 2017. Was a 0 point unit and had left overs prior to 2017. Got 4 does tags and was gonna get buck tag as leftover but nope, none available. Had a herd buck at 25 yards or less at first light opening day. Saw 7 bucks inside 250 yards and shot 2 yearlings, no does.I can’t believe how bad this has become… we went 0/4 in a unit that used to be available as leftover tags. Then it went to second choice. This isn't even a sleeper unit. It's almost all private. It's where I have been taking my kids for years to introduce them to hunting.Did my first antelope hunt in 2017. Next hunt was 2023 and did guided after 3 yrs of trying to draw what was a 1 pt unit in 2020.
Now saving points, #3 this year. Hoping 7 or 8 points will be enough next time I go or will just go guided again. But maybe will go guided for cow elk if spending the extra dime. Time will tell.
With the computerized companies helping folks choose tags, all bets are off. There are no sleeper units anymore.
