Wyoming antelope draw

Another year, another unsuccessful antelope draw in Wyoming.

Did this for 3 consecutive years and then went guided in 2023. When we first applied it had been a 1 pt hunt, when we gave up it was a +4 pt hunt. Applied with 1-2-3 pts and said screw it.

Am collecting points again, should have about 8 pts next time. Buying #3 this year.

I guess I’ll check and see what’s available for the second draw and see if we can get any additional tags since we will be driving 22 hours to come hunt

Unsuccessful with 4 pts. Both units I put in for had 100% odds last yr w 4. It’ll be interesting to see how many you need now. A unit I was eyeing up last year went up 3 pts for 100% draw from the previous year.

Our party drew in a unit that was 100% with 7 last year (special) and we went in with 7.33 combined. It will hopefully be my Dad's first antelope.

Unsuccessful on a unit that took 7 points last year, we had 8 as a group.
Folks burning up their points due to coming cost increase is my guess, gonna drive the creep even higher.

We might bite the bullet and do the special draw next year. I’ve been putting in with my dad and grad advisor for 7 years now. We wait too much longer and my dad won’t be able to go anymore! Unit that we put in for this year was 100% with 7 points, so a big ‘thank you’ to point creep.

Finally had luck shine on me. Drew Unit 75. I've never hunted 75 before. I'll be looking for nothing specific, just a good mature buck. Any current information on herd health would be greatly appreciated.

I drew a tag in the Buffalo area. Fortunately but unfortunately I drew a banger elk tag that runs at the same time so I probably won't even get to hunt it.

Nonresident successful in the normal pool in unit 84-1. I drew, wife didn’t, with same amount of points (6 going in). I’ve never hunted Wyoming before but hunt antelope a lot here in Idaho, so I’m excited for a new opportunity in the Wind River area. If anybody has any advice my inbox is open haha! Appears point creep was vicious this year.
Applied still didn't draw my unit with 9 points which took 7 last year

Holy point explosion. Lots of units jumping 2-3+ pts. I’ve got nothing else this year so tried to play it safe and pay $1200 to draw a middle of the road antelope unit.. would’ve been a point clear every year until this year.. Not sure what you even do at this point.

Unsuccessful here as well in unit 44 with 5 pts. Last year that was 100% chance. Hoped it would at least get me to an 80-90% chance

Put in for special to get us to 100% odds and didn’t draw. Same thing happened last year. Amazing that an animal that seems to be everywhere is so difficult to get a tag for. Deer and elk seem to be thought more highly of and I swear it’s easier to get tags for them. My .02 nobody asked for, haha
