WY NR Rifle Elk draw

As everyone knows Wyoming applications are right around the corner for Elk. I have 11 pref points going into draw. I am aware of point creep so I am thinking of trying to draw this year instead of continuing to chase the magical top unit #.

What are everyone's thoughts on waiting it out vs. going ahead and drawing?

You'll never catch the top units. I'd start researching what you have a realistic shot at.

Definitely apply for a tag you can draw. I just hope it’s not my unit! I’m hoping to draw again with 6 PPs.

Best to apply now. Hard to get a dream hunt on the couch. Those top end units are basically mathematically impossible to catch even with an 11 point headstart

That is the conclusion I came to last year but thanks for all the input. I wanted to hear what people thought.
I am going to pick a good unit where 11 pts where be 100 % and go hunting in 2021.

Great area to be drawn with your PP, not even in these guys thoughts but it holds big bulls and plenty of access.
Not all the great hunting is in Bighorns or NW Wyoming .
