My 18 year old son is looking to buy his first vehicle and this is what I'm pointing him towards. Looking for one in good shape and with 160,000 miles or less, needs to be dependable as he's not looking for a project.

He just sent me a message it's a 95 model. Sorry about that. Could've sworn it looked just like my 01 taco from years ago.

If he isn't I would be interested in getting details about that 01 tundra.

I have a 1998 4Runner SR5 with a 2.5" lift and the 3.4L V6. It has a little over 200K but has been taken care of. I changed the timing belt, water pump and roller bearing at 180K as it's supposed to be. Still runs like a champ as I've never had a problem with it. I'm not looking to sell it for much. The kicker is I'm in Alaska. :D

Great choice! I have a 99 with 275,000 still going strong!

If you can find a 99 the cup holders and several other things were adjusted in that model to make what most 4x4 guys believe to be the best model.

Be sure to find one with the rear axle locker for all your 4x4 needs
