Would you buy this scope?

Better yet, a big pink dildo mounted on the elevation turret would sure give something to grab while dialing......

The really scary part is.....that's not an AI image...those are HIS fingers holding it on top of HIS rifle.

Gotta be careful in those Colorado AirBnB showers.....

Shoot2Hunt is a great name for a podcast. It’s a terrible name for a line of optics. I buy a lot of stuff, so I should know (grin.)

Call your scope something else. Avoid using numbers for words, x’s instead of s’s, and other clever ideas. And don’t paint yourselves into a corner with the first one. If it’s good, you’ll end up selling a bunch more and you’ll need a good naming system.

Also, Don, that’s big?
Appears it will be part of an already named line of scopes

Oh I missed it by 20 pages.

Zero Tech Trace ain’t bad. 5 years from now a dude will be selling a ZT Trace in the optics classifieds with the disclaimer “this is one of the old models with the Shoot2Hunt logo on it, but it tracks and holds zero…”
In that same line of thought, there will be guys with WTB ads looking for an original ZT Trace ADV with the Shoot2Hunt logo cause those are the good ones that hold zero and track right...

I'll probably buy one, even be willing to put a full deposit down. I wasn't certain, so jumping back in was useful.

But, between the MOA junk and the branding arguments, and not being able to mock the stupid with food; this thread is more annoying than a 5 year old with Redbull and a drum set. This thread has me wanting to say a few things that would justly get me a timeout.

Nobody's asking for this.

I just don't want such a special scope, that I expect to spend several thousand dollars in acquiring examples of, to have the equivalent of purple hair and a nose ring begging for attention and approval.

Separate but related - look at all the major, quality optics brands. None of them have a giant logo on the bell. It's all tasteful symbols or font on the turrets or the ocular.

Go look.

Nightforce, Schmidt & Bender, Swarovski, Leupold, Leica, Vortex even - none of them have garish branding like that.

If someone doesn't think a giant logo on the bell will negatively impact perceived quality of that optic, they don't understand branding or people. It matters.

Marketing is not easy. And it's full of pitfalls. And it matters.
Tell us you're more worried about showing it to your friends without telling us you're worried about showing it to your friends.

but yet you read it thought about it and posted about it? Shame an internet forum that doesn't go your way irritates you so.

Agree - it cheapens it. Even if they went with the S2H model it would be better

As far as the aesthetics discussion, there seem to be two basic schools of thought. “As plain as possible”, and “who cares, put a big pink dick on it for all I care”. It seems pretty simple, that’s only 4 sku’s. Each reticle option, with and without the dong. Everyone is as happy as a clam.

I'm still going to go with the THLR, but do we have any up close reticle pics of the RMG-H to share?
x2
I'd like to see RMG-H reticle in high resolution. I'm guessing its Zero Tech's RMG reticle without the tree.

I plan to buy one THLR reticle during the preorder for science, but I'm on the fence about buying two THLRs or one of each reticle.

The eye relief is a bit shorter than I normally prefer but that’s not holding me back. I’m in for two with the THLR reticle as soon as they are available.

When I first saw the eye relief, I was a bit concerned, too; however, that is really close to the advertised eye relief of SWFA 3-9 and I don’t have any trouble with it.
