Maybe, for looking into dark areas it would probably not work well. For now ill stick with sfp on my hunting guns.Expectations of what? If it’s having a usable reticle through all mag range, than if you were to look through it in person, you’d see it satisfied that.
If we want the 3-12x on the 2-3 year timeline, is there anything we can do in addition to buying the 3-18x? Is there any way that the upfront cost could be shared by those that want to see this come to market?Because a 3-12 sub 20oz scope made as we wanted was a ground up 2-3 year project and a pretty large upfront cost. Tough to do first when an option was available that would get a whole lot right that we didn’t like about what is currently on the market.
The 3-18x scopes in the market weren’t doing anything we wanted- however, something new was offered so that was chosen.
The amount of people that want to buy a 3-12x is significantly less than those who will buy a 3-18x done right. Ryan and I both want the scope that was originally posted about. However, it’s a long term deal. If these scopes (which we also wanted) do well, then there will be more coming in the future.
It works great for that.Maybe, for looking into dark areas it would probably not work well. For now ill stick with sfp on my hunting guns.
That reticle is a hot disaster. Terrible hunting reticle.Found samples on the on Google. I would say that does not meet my expectations. Below is a sample of a march reticle that has both first and second plane reticle. Not a fan of the styling but the general concept offers a lot of potential.View attachment 961879
Agree, that reticle sucks in every way possible. There is no point for dual reticles in a scope. If you can't shoot a FFP scope, don't or practice more. It takes a little time to get used to but is fairly easy to see. If you can't see it well enough at 3 power, turn to the mag up and learn your FOV limits that way. I bet with a day of shooting one, almost anyone can get it figured out. That reticle is a hot disaster. Terrible hunting reticle.
The P3L, while not perfect is a whole lot closer.
