Nikons are next. Need the SWFA 6x to come back in stock as these are on muzzle loaders. Then I’ll drop test my last 3 Nikons or I may just sell them I haven’t decided. So far 3 Leupold, 4 NF, 3 Nikons, 2 Burris, 2 Swarovski and 1 Khales. All replaced with Maven 1.2 and a SWFA’s and 1 sightronFirst all the Leupolds, and now all the NFs? You don't muck around ...
Makes sense. I'm not sure how much (if any) improvement the bronze-ish anodizing colors might offer. The issue is that in general, unless it’s a mil issues scope- colored ones don’t sell all that well compared to black.
My kneejerk response is that anything with lower absorption will probably be shiny and hard to market
vet wrap or hockey tape should help
X2 on the vet wrap. Big selection of colors on Amazon tooMy kneejerk response is that anything with lower absorption will probably be shiny and hard to market

Not sure @nm.otter was after a range of colors, or acting on a whim - they just pointed out that black scopes can get hot in high heat / solar gain contexts. That, or just rattle can to suit preference in color. Unless resale value is a concern.
It'd be tough to meet every whim for FDE, tan, bronze, etc.

Err ... no hurt feelings, and not being 'thought police' at all ... your post had just seemed to miss the point made in the original post about the issue. Nothing more, nothing less - no need for snarky comments or name calling.Good grief! Your hurt feeler report has been noted.
My sincerest apologies to you and "they", for suggesting a simple solution (spray paint) to create a non-black scope.
I'd also like to acknowledge your stature are Thought Police, for all of Rokslide.
Thanks!
