I used Zeiss HD5 scopes in the past that had locking windage/elev turrets that you pulled up to unlock, and pushed back down to lock. The ergos on them are awesome and much faster than other designs I've used like the Leupold.I have 2 Sig scopes that have push button locking elevation turrets.

Figured there must be a reason all the scopes that work weigh what they do.
If (When?) this hits the market, gonna be able to get RS1.2's for a great price ... no more "out of stock" on them.
I now have replaced all 5 of my scopes with same one. Figure easier to learn to use one, then doesn't matter the rifle I shoot ...If you’re looking Guidefitter has them or did last week. I got one in yesterday. I see what the hype is about. I really like it what little I’ve used it. I expect I’ll get 2-3 more as funds allow.
That’s a good idea. Kinda done that with the 3-9hd but then I get the itch to try one of the newer ones like the Maven. It’s common to pay royalties to use others patents. More a question of whether the patent holder wants to play ball and if the patent is valuable enough in the market door others to pay to use it.
X2, it has to outperform in durability and weight or price point to be an optimal replacementWhy do all this? What do you get that the Maven RS1.2 doesn't offer? AT 20oz, that would be pretty awesome. or at $1000. At 25 and $1500, it doesn't seem like a substantial competitive advantage. Didn't the Maven do really well in Form's tests? at 26oz, the Maven is heavy. Sure.
I mean this curiously. I seriously don't know, but I know something of how hard it is to make a competitive product like this.
