That’s a good looking scope imo
I don’t think it’s been drop tested which would sway me to the swfa 3-15 or the trijicon tenmile
Form has run the LRHS and LRTS and reported them as reliable. Just use the search function for each of those words, with Form in the 'By' field.

This news about a THLR-type reticle is the most interesting part for me. And it’s a big bonus that it will have a reasonable zoom range for hunting and it won’t weigh 34 oz. That is pretty exciting news.
Same.

And this announcement was enough to have me hold back on buying a second RS1.2 ... guessing that's the same for a few other folks here.

Yes, they have. I was responding to someone who thought they hadn't been eval'd; was just giving him the way to find what he wanted.
Yep. Didn't mean to single you out for trying to help a dude. Just get a kick out of it when someone jumps in late thread with something that's been discussed in the current context.

Yeah but like anything new coming to market, I doubt any of these will be ready for purchase before 2026. If they are hinting at students seeing them in the S2H classes this spring/summer it could be a bit before they get sold to the public. And like anything, expect timelines to increase just based on Murphy.

So if you have a need for a scope you might as well get something now.

They haven’t had a formal test/write up by form as they’re generally out of production (the 3-12 at least) but GAP got bushnell to make runs of the larger magnification version. Members have tested them and form has said in the past they’re generally reliable.

I found a brand new one (3-12x44) at a good price. It's a little on the heavy side, but I'll make good use of it, for sure.

All good.

And here's something weird: I thought I'd got rid of all of my LRTS/LRHS 3-12s, and had always regretted it. But when tidying up the man cave/gun room today, I found an LRTS 3-12 in FDE. Now I have no idea what to do with it - feels like it's been surpassed by the Maven RS 1.2, and no doubt will be by the new Rokslide venture ... but I'm really not sure what I'd do with it ...

I have a RS1.2 Maven. I like it very much and would buy another, but after a lot of use, I'm not sure I'd say I like it better than the 3-12 LRTS's. My major hang up with the Maven is the reticle. Not that it's bad or not usable, but they could've made it better by either leaving the horizontal lines under center completely off, or by adding a couple of vertical measurement tik marks on them. Also, I would've preferred a segmented cross/dot in the center over the bare dot, but that's just a matter of person preference.

Maybe it's just because I have so many years of use on the Bushies, but as far as reticles, I like the LRTS well enougg and don't mind the LRHS. They have reticle thickness just right, and I really like the overall package and X range. As I stated early in this thread, If the Rokoptik or whatever they're calling it is nothing more than a re-badged 3-12 Bushy with a different reticle, they'll have a winner, IMO. I realize that it might not sell well because guys think they need more X, but it's everything and more than a 6-800yd hunting scope needs to be.

And, keep me in mind if you decide to move the Bushy you found!
