No, it's fact. LOW will not talk to you unless you have 3 years of scope sales at an adequate volume. I've tried it.

Our experiences dealing with them are different. Mine is OEM to OEM and they are more than willing and have done work with us.

chiming in late to answer the original question. for 1500$ I would not consider it. For my uses i really want a max zoom of 15-20+. I find it very hard to verify a buck is a legal 3 point with anything less at reasonable distance.
the 20OZ part is very appealing
$1500 is more than than the trijicon tenmile when its on sale, more than the maven or the swfa 3-15.
I think the vortex lift to dial elevation turret is by far my favorite design for a hunting turret, i also prefer a shorter wider turret to a tall skinny one.
Excited to see what happens with this however!

Yeah assume so I would be willing to go up to 4 on the min mag Id that helps or take a few oz penalty to get higher mag

If a 3-12x40’ish mil/mil scope was offered that was consistently reliable and durable, was tested heavily, had multiple reticles that were truly usable/visible from 3-12x, a good/great eyebox and DOF, low profile zero stop elevation and capped windage; and was under $1,500- would you buy it?

I’m leaning towards the Maven but this would stop me to at the very least take a look. Basically yes.

The swfa 6x is nice but big for what I need in a scope. For now I'm happy I ges.

This news about a THLR-type reticle is the most interesting part for me. And it’s a big bonus that it will have a reasonable zoom range for hunting and it won’t weigh 34 oz. That is pretty exciting news.

If you need to verify points, isn’t a spotter or high power binos a far better choice than a rifle scope? To me a scope is an aiming device not an observation optic.

For a Reticle maybe a mil-dot or just a duplex?

If you're willing to take a weight penality are you aware of the bushnell LRHS-2 (or a used LRTS) 4.5-18x44? It seems like it already checks off alot of your boxes.

Oh for sure ! But sometimes there are several deer mixing and sometimes things happen fast so I personally like to verify moments before the shoot and not have to transfer spotter to gun as much

Count me as a yes to the original question. I’ve got a Maven 1.2 RS inbound based on the positive testing and feedback here, but would definitely consider something lighter with lower max magnification for my purposes. Watching with interest.
