Womens baselayers

Any one have any recommendations for a heavy weight womens baselayer ? Firstlite is sold out of the furnace line up and Black Ovis doesnt make a womens size. Must be heavy weight - she gets cold easy lol

Sitka core heavyweight hoody is comfortable enough for next to skin. My wife lives in hers during fall seasons.

What kind of activity and exertion level? I have a heavyweight for goose hunting and very low exertion hunts. For active hunts my Heavy Weight base layer is very different.

My wife has some of the cabelas heavy weight ones and some that I think are made by Columbia that have the reflective type material. She really likes the Columbia ones and says they’re really warm.

Wife uses base layers from Arc’teryx and has several types depending on the activity level outdoors.

My daughter has the Smartwool 250 merino base layer top. It’s pretty heavyweight.

There are plenty of outdoors and mountaineering type shops that sell clothing, especially Women’s outdoor gear, that are as good as or better than hunting brands. Most of it is cheaper too.

I'd be more inclined to focus on her insulation pieces than her base layers if she's looking to stay warm.

Warmth always starts with a nice baselayer for me on cold low exertion hunts. I like the Cabelas Heavyweight MTP tops and bottoms. I overheat walking back and forth from the truck if I wear the tops.

The price is really good on these at times.
This MTP set with a nice mid layer and outer layer along with toasty gloves and hat(s) should do the trick. Don't forget warm socks and a nice pair of insulated boots.

I just bought some heavy weight, fleece baselayers from 32 degrees (i think thats the name of it). A mock turtle neck top and bottoms. They aren't fancy, no pockets etc but I paid $10 all together (their stuff is 75% off right now) and they fit the bill: WARM and Comfortable. I can wear a real thin moisture wicking tee under the top but honestly should have sized up. Its cut pretty snug.

Overall: can't beat the price

Other than that: I love my Columbia stuff. I have a couple different weights in shirts and two pants. They all have the omni heat technology, which i think works to some degree. I haven't found a pair of merino bottoms I just love, yet.

Forloh has a little women's gear, no experience with it but I was just browsing their website looking at options for my wife. I dont think its heavy weight base layers though.

We would recommend pairing Sitka's Women's Core Lightweight Crew with the Women's Heavyweight Hoody or Women's Fanatic Hoody. Using a lightweight synthetic under a heavyweight synthetic or heavyweight merino will aid in moisture transfer which will ultimately keep her more comfortable.
