Never thought I would see this... HR 845 passed today 211-204. This will remove wolves from the ESA within 60 days and includes a clause to limit the judicial review of the decision. This is epic and paired with HR 1987 will set a precident moving forward. I would bet Grizzlies are next.

HR 1897 The ESA Amendments Act includes provisions for restoring scientific integrity in species listings, promoting state management, and streamlining permit processes. It aims to prevent activist interference and ensures compliance with recent Supreme Court rulings related to ESA applications.

Has to pass the Senate first
Correct but the house voted along party lines. It will pass the senate if the same holds true. I’ll call Hickenlooper and Bennett to ask for yes votes, but I doubt it makes a difference.

Luckily the First Gentlemen Marlon has already taken to Facebook to express his disgust which always warms my heart.

No, it will fail in the Senate if the same holds true. The republicans have a slim majority in both the HOR and Senate. Bills pass the HOR on a simple majority. In the Senate 60 of 100 votes is required, except for specific exceptions (budget reconcilation and some appointments), and the republicans only hold 53 seats. So, some dem votes will be required for HR 845 to pass the Senate and go to the POTUS desk.

Simple majority of 51 votes is all thats needed to pass provided it doesnt get filibustered into the ground
