Wiser BT-20 Ridge Warden

I was pleasantly surprised with how well it does glassing. It really is a lot smoother than it has any right to be. Ive only used my Swaro 65mm. and Kowa 55mm, though. Haven't killed an animal with it yet. Shot the gong a few times with it and a Quick-Stick/trekking pole rear. I can definitely see a few use case scenarios for it.

I own several micro fluid heads and I dont think they have much advantage over the BT in movement. (Ive found the micro fluids to be overhyped in my opinion). I also have the ph-170 (the one Tricer copied and offshored), but I prefer the BT-20.

Anyone have an issue with the tension knob not having enough clearance from the locking knob? Is there a way to fully lock the pan out? I've been playing with mine for over a month and ended up going to the tricer pan head.

The knob is adjustable/indexable. You'll just loosen it until the hex head can be pushed back from it's socket and then you can adjust the timing of it. (I meant to make a video on this --and other features-- earlier this summer, but we've been swamped with production and I have not gotten to it).

The Pan can not be fully locked out, instead its tension is increased with ball tension. As someone said earlier in this thread, the micro adjust screw is more of a "timing" adjustment on when that pan tension engages.
