I’m headed out for a week long hunt in Northern Michigan in late October. I’ve always brought a puffy on this hunt and might again this year but usually the daytime lows are in the 40’s or high 30’s and I’m too warm sometimes in a puffy.
I’m bringing a First Lite Furnace as my mid layer and am shocked at how warm it is. I think I can get away with some kind of wind proof layer on top when I’m getting chilly instead of a puffy.
I’d love a lightly insulated, quiet fabric completely windproof outer jacket that packs smaller than a puffy.
If it was waterproof and I could bring this as my rain jacket that would be awesome too!
