If one had a African hunt planned, you could do a whole lot worse. Admittedly, I'm bias towards the Model 70's Price point seems fair.

In deed a solid choice for Africa but fits the bill for the great Alaskan hunts out there as well.

Might even consider a trade for the right binos or spotter. Optics are like rifles to me, no such thing as too many.

I have one of these in 375 H&H and its been to Africa and has taken game. Its a fine handling rifle with class and will take anything down with the right ammo....anything.
