Hey folks. Wondering if anybody has any information on this ammo. Specifically the ballistic coefficient. For the .270 Win they are stating a .625 BC (I assume G1). I don't see any other ammo posted anywhere close to that for a 270. By comparison the Hornady Precision Hunter is .536. Just wondering if they are overstating somehow or using a different metric?

The reason I ask is I am considering replacing the 270 with a 6.5 Creed for better accuracy at longer ranges.

Thanks in advance for any feedback. I don't reload so looking for something reliable from factory.

I do not have any experience with this ammo or bullet, but looked into when deciding what rifle/cartridge combo to buy.

From what I have read on here, results with the Accubond LR have been mixed. I don't know if anyone has actually gone out and verified the BC on any of the ABLR bullets. The other potential issue is you might have marginal stability in the standard 1:10" twist that most .270 cartridges use.

EDIT: Brian Litz of Applied Ballistics tested the ABLRs and posted his results here.

The 150gr .277 bullet's G1 BC as tested by him with a 1:10" twist was .543 and G7 was .278. Litz went on to state that Nosler's listed BC values were closer to what Litz tested when using faster than normal twists.

This is great information. Thank you for sharing. Out of curiosity what setup to you settle on?

Barrett Fieldcraft in 6.5 CM shooting Hornady 147gr ELDMs. A scope issue is currently causing problems, but prior to the issue the combo made it very easy to get hits on targets out to 600.

Nosler has updated the BC on all ABLR bullets recently, I think the 270 is now around .590, likely only with a faster twist barrel.
