I remember a story about a farm kid in SE Oregon who rode a quad out in the am before school to do some chores and he ended up getting his arm ripped off by a piece of equipment. He picked it up an rode the quad back home to get help. Hours from anywhere. Tough kid.

I've never heard of Mr. Edinger. I'll have to check that out. However, I've had the pleasure to meet Amberley Synder. She's a barrel racer that became paralyzed from the waist down. She continued to barrel race after her accident. Very inspirational young lady.
