How would that be preferable over 5/8 and a shoulder added? Not arguing because I have said I have mostly 1/2 threads without a shoulder but going forward it makes more sense to me to use 5/8 with a shoulder rather than using a 1/2-5/8 adapter. Like I said it was/is a non issue with cans that I could just swap out the HUB on but those that its not an option why not just thread for 5/8 add a shoulder and not use the adapter? When thats an option.
I guess whatever is cheaper is preferable to me, assuming both would work. How would that be preferable over 5/8 and a shoulder added? Its tapered, so the .750 is at the muzzle but more like .8xx further back. I was able to screw a og6s onto an 18" ace 3b, but juuust barely. What is the ID of OTB suppressors like the OG 6-S /OG 6.5? I know they say it fits over a .750 barrel, but is that just a rule of thumb for keeping a bit of space there, or is it barely sliding over the barrel at that point?
If they say it then roll with it? Trust them it will work and/or trust they'll make it work. Plenty of other things to worry aboutWhat is the ID of OTB suppressors like the OG 6-S /OG 6.5? I do. Its tight on the 3b, but does fit.Do you already have this barrel and suppressor or is this all hypothetical?
I’m not worried about it. I like to know tolerances. The main reason I was wondering was in the event of putting a shoulder on the barrel for 5/8 threads. If it can go bigger, then I can machine a larger shoulder. If not, then I won’t.If they say it then roll with it? Trust them it will work and/or trust they'll make it work. If you're machining your own shoulder you have more knowledge than talking to a guy like me...grin. Double check with UM but I'm pretty sure they've said 750-770 maybe even a little more than that.I’m not worried about it. I like to know tolerances. I don't see anything new there that hasn't been available the last several weeks. Waiting on the regular stainless lite models to come back in stock.Tons of these just started popping up.
