I bet SAKO/Tikka will time the wider release of rifles chambered in 6mm Creedmoor along with SAKO ammunition, just like they did with the 6.5mm PRC and 6.5mm Creedmoor.
If so, they can't just spin up some barrels and put new rifle chamberings in the catalog. They have to get loads developed, procure supplies, set up production lines, and market and distribute the new cartridge too.
At corporate levels, it's not uncommon for top management and marketing especially to coordinate product launches so that they can provide consumers all solutions for their needs.
In other words, SAKO/Tikka wants customers to buy rifles AND ammunition! Just like SIG wants contracts for firearms, optics, and ammunition and not just one.
In the US, I bet many people don't even think about SAKO ammunition though.
