Will they ever produce RL 26 again?

I've been moving to all VV powders for my hunting rigs. It's available, it's cheaper than Hodgdon, and typically gets great results with better velocity.

Matter of fact just dialed in a 300prc load with 570 last weekend. I picked up almost 50fps and I'll take all i can get in my 22" barrel.

I just got the same update from Midway. Anyone having good luck with N568?
I think N570 may be slightly closer to RL26. Everyone that I know that's made the switch from RL powders to VV Powders have been very happy.

I'm using N555 (6.5CM) and N565 (6.5PRC). N555 is giving me a bump in fps over H4350 in my 6.5CM target rifle and my SD is around 11 across a 50rd session. Though RL26 gave me more FPS, the N565 doesn't seem to be as spikey as RL26 when it's very hot outside. SD are around 10.

That’s exactly what we’ve found with 565 vs 26.

I moved away from 300 win mag because I couldn’t find any good powder for it. People say use scarce but I’m sitting on 24lb (3x8lb) of h4895 that I don’t even use.
Holy shite, I could go for some of that! For future use of course.. I don’t go buying so little powder that I’d run out.

I’m bad about that too. I usually try to buy enough to last the life of the barrel. Then I switch up setups and end up with a ton of powder I don’t need so I have to build a new rifle that will use that powder.

What bullet/velocity are you shooting from your 22”?

215 Bergers with 81.5gr of N570 out of a 22" Proof and a SilencerCo Scythe. Lapua brass. My last average was 2848fps with mag primers. I was getting 2767 with 79gr H1000 and BR2s. Both single digit ES and SDs.

H1000 with the mag primers got up to 2816 but the ES and SD doubled. All loads shot really well though.

Thanks for the response, not trying to derail the thread, I just always find myself comparing the 300prc to the 30 nosler. Having a 22” nosler myself, running a can as well, similar bullet weights, hand loads, this is a perfect comparison rifle to rifle. 👍
