I am going on a sheep hunt at the end of August in the Brooks Range in Alaska. My guide recommendation for a bag was this? Anyone else use this setup? Looking at the site they claim some pretty awesome temperatures for this. The price is really cheap compared to other bags?

I have the ultralight , and I'd say it's pretty true to rating based on my experiences. I also have the overbag for it...never used it, but I'm confident it would add a lot of warmth.

The price is cheap because it's synthetic and the construction isn't fancy. But it is durable. If you google Wiggy's one thing that always seems to stand out is how durable they are.

+1 on durability. I have used some of their stuff over the years and still have a couple of bags. They hold up well even to military level abuse. I like my jungle bag. For me they are true to temp. They are cheap compared to others. Drawbacks are weight and compressibility. I think that overbag combo comes in at about 8 lbs. a heck of a deal for car camping or if your have a packer. You could probably cut that weight in half but it will cost you more $$$.

We use our Wiggy's bags for base camp or out of a boat or atv. We will haul them next week winter camping by snowmachine (snowmobile for you lower 48 folks). They are pretty much bomb proof, and warm even when wet. I have literally several hundred nights in mine at this point over a decade of use, and have only ever been cold one time winter camping at -30. They aren't very light or compressible. We usually don't backpack with them for this reason. If you can spare the space and weight to pack it (and I suppose you probably can if your guide is recommending it?) you'll stay warm enough.

Yes. You need some insulation beneath you. A cot just lets cold air circulate beneath you.

Love my Wiggy’s. It does have its role. As said before, definitely not the lightest or small pack ability but comfy warm goodness is not lacking. I would trust your guide for sure unless you know firsthand something different.
