Your friend is correct. My friend posted that other comment, I'll be sure and let him know he was wrong.

My, I would call both yellow and blue a drainage. Add a modifier like "little side drainage " if needed. But I'm just a coonass hillbilly that got lost and don't really speak the language.

Depending on the larger area, I would probably call the red line a valley.

My friend has made a large enough fool of himself tonight and is going to shut up.

White, red, black, sawtooth, bur, pin, live, gonna need you to be a little more specific...smh Yankees
Thems fighting words my man! And yes, I really do pronounce it that way. I live in a very... uhhh... gentrified? part of the south that very recently has become "cool" to move to. It's very obvious when you're talking to people who grew up here and who are transplants.

Everyone knows that the only ones we talk about are white oaks.

yellow-drainage/draw, blue-draws/finger draws, whatever you can convey to your hunting partner to know where you went for the day. Draws draw water into a drainage. Drainage drains the water from the terrain.

That is what can be confusing to just use one source for your topographic discussion. Single plane aerial photos can be deceiving at times. Topographic maps are easy to read and decipher.

Yeah, TX isn't the south, more like Mexico.

Born South of I-10 east of TX and you are a true Southerner. Born north of I-10, but south of the Mason-Dixon Line, and east of TX you are a southern yankee. Born south of I-10 in TX and you are just a Mexican. :poop:⛈️
