Why every liberal millennial.......

So, how do you explain all of the Baby Boomer hippies? These were folks who went to HS and college in the late 1950s and throughout the 60s.? It wouldn’t be hard to argue that was the largest wave of socialism agenda in American history and this was over 50 years ago.
It wasn't a wave of socialist agenda, rather it was wave of rebellion and a great distrust of society and the adults at that time. The Boomers are also called the me generation and I believe were the most spoiled as far as from one generation to the next by far!! What's happened is each preceding generation has continued to spoil they children. That is why millennials are so spoiled. They all aren't. I for one don't really disparage millennials. I know many fine millennials. Like most things it's parenting that's failing from one generation to the other.

I'm over generalizing?

Laffin'...
No your are not. You are doing the opposite. You brought out a diamond in the rough photo and insinuate the rough is loaded with diamonds is how I interpret it.

Intelligence is the ability to acquire and apply knowledge and skills. This is how I define it as well. It doesn't require a technical or advanced degree, but it sure can help.

sigh. I suppose there will always be folks from older generations that lack confidence in younger generations. That probably won't ever change. But times do change man. label folks if you must.

Hey, I just take what they give or show me.......that's all I can go off of. If they want to change their ideologies and labels, I'm all for that and will fully support them in that. But that's up to them.....the ball is in their court, and so far it's not looking good for America's future.

Yep, that was one seriously messed up time and generation.......that's for sure. The problem there is that they actually procreated and then taught that crap to their kids too.....and so on. Pretty sure we're still seeing the effects of that one in today's generations.

Yup, and they ended up teaching at Berkley and (insert you local university here). They have been screwing up college kids and praising Che Guevara for decades.

I hunt elk with these guys in Wyoming every year, according to you, over-educated morons with no common sense.

According to me? Uhhhhh.......I don't think I've ever met any of those folks, so I couldn't say one way or the other for them, I'll leave that assessment up to you. Have no idea where you got this from. I think you jumped into the middle of a conversation and misunderstood what I said.

Are we comparing resumes??? I too am highly educated and also hunt elk. What was your point again?????

Its impossible for people to give millennial's credit because obviously the idea of free thinking means that you must think just like them.

There are a lot of misperceptions going on in this thread, but that seems to happen a lot. Free critical thinking is great. But it doesn't matter whether they are millennial's or any other generation when that free thinking brings them to the point of wanting to change America into a socialist country. If they want to be free socialist thinkers........that's fine. Just take that thinking to a country that's already a socialist country, and leave this one alone.

I'm sure most of them are not looking for your approval, in case you're waiting...

Seems we have some members who feel that someone only has a brain, if they have the same view of the world as them. LOL I suppose that's human nature to some degree. But part of it is the "smartest person in the room" syndrome too. When you no longer think you have anything to learn, and that nobody can teach you anything, you're just marking time at that point.

Maybe you live up to your own stereo-type when you look in the mirror when you're shaving in the morning. If the shoe fits and all that...

That wasn't a stereotype, that comment was just my personal observation and experience of those particular people that "I have known". I've also known many highly educated people that weren't morons.......just a subsect of the highly educated. That's all we can go by.......what we experience.

It's not just the "brain" it's how the brain is used in particular views.......what's your view on home-schooling again, and of those in particular that do that? Label much? ;) LOL Everyone is guilty of having their own perceptions. The problem is when those differing views don't pass the logic test, or bring collapse and destruction to the nation........that's the problem.

Thread about long range shooting morality on a hunting forum gets shut down immediately. Thread bashing a huge sector of the hunting community that somehow deviates into homeschooling and liberals taking over our children's minds, nah let it ride.

Let's continue to bash and alienate our hunting brothers because they have different thoughts, backgrounds and weren't born when we were, that should produce the results we are all looking for.

I posted my actual observations, based on actual experience with actual people. That's quite a bit different than making assumptions about groups of people.

I'm glad to know you're concerned about the nation however.

That's why I was reluctant to answer the questions about my experiences with home schooled students. Because I knew where it would lead. And like you, I'm very surprised it didn't shut the thread down. The OP was trying to make a good and relevant contribution to the forum.
