Why does everyone chop their barrels to an even number length?
Lots of talk about guys chopping them to 16", 18", 20" etc...
My question is, why not chop it to 19" in that example? I never see talk about barrels cut to an odd length?
So you know what John Bobbitt was packing to make it an odd number? That's a lil disturbing in it's own right!Women chop to odd numbers. Just look at Lorena Bobbitt. She took off half, leaving him at quite a odd number.
Ill cut my X Bolt down to 17 13/16 just for you.I've been following along on a bunch of threads about guys chopping barrels down on their rifles (Tikka 6CM and other threads).

Plenty of guys who are undecided and trying to decide between chopping it to 18" or 20", for example.

I'm showing my novice-ness here, as I've never had a barrel cut down on one of my rifles. Always just hunted with them as they came off the shelf. However, I'll be buying a Tikka 6CM once I can get my hands on one, and plan to chop the barrel down to a shorter length, and suppress it.
I just want to make sure the bullets aren't going to bounce off of animals if my barrel is an odd length![]()
