Who’s eyeballin the Tract 1-8 mil/mil?

I've soured quite a bit on LPVOs over the years, down to a much narrower use case. If you can only have one gun, for any distance from house to field, they're a great option. And they can be great for some dangerous game guns, as long as they're proven rugged in both cases. But for 95% of what guys actually use their guns for, they're better off with a red dot out to 200-300, or if it won't be used in household distances, something like a 3-15, 4-16, etc.

I did try the red dot on a couple but soured on it once hunted. Kids killed great but they have amazing eyes lol. I had no issue at range on steel to 300 plus but Number 1 reason was optical clarity and brightness. All in not on lpvo but 0-500/600 capabilities but primarily as tag Fillin well short of that and no dialling capped decent reticle options has options sort of forces the lpvo range. 2 to 2.5 low and 8-10 top be great with some objective but trade offs no issue.

The s2h 2-8x36 mentioned appeals but hope they sfp it and rmhg reticle it and is only center dot lit vs entire stadia lit. Would fleet several of those. This tract reticle and sfp is checking boxes for me, may have to try one out. Love my atacr and Nx8 dmx 1-8’s just can’t fleet them lol. Thinking more budget and hand to the kids ir friends and train em up if they start to wanna shoot beyond point blank then it’s there and would satisfy my own needs getting behind it also as I do like to play further.

Pretty sure Stick is flogging on one (or more) daily right now.
Yeah that facker has a knack for finding sh1t before most even know it exists.

I’m gonna flog one too, it just landed today. They don’t mess around lol, by the time my spidy senses tripped on mail which was this morning, I then bugged em for tracking info, the thing was already at the house waiting for me when I got home before seeing their response with the tracking info lol.

Initial impressions made my sticker peck out a little. I ordered rings before it and still waiting on those. Will be a week or so before I get a chance to shoot. Center dot goes way brighter than I thought from what you could find for videos or images, bonus, although the reticle thickness and being able to see it so good at lowest mags is refreshing af and illum dot just a luxury, and maybe handy on bears in low light, otherwise largely a luxury/bonus feature as I can’t see where this reticle won’t be visible and love is simplicity. I’ll follow up when I can. I think kids and friends will drive it intuitively.

I immediately told them to make a 2-10 or 3-9 x 36-40mm at .1/click and make sure it’s 12” long to fit over bolt guns and longer lop’s etc otherwise don’t change anything about reticles, illum, turrets or mag ring, and take a slice out of the swfa/credo 3-9 pie.

I will interested in how you like it in the field. Seems like a good unit from the specs/reviews
Ok rings showed, mounted and it’s on a new setup which I just proved accurate enough to invest in the tract quick with some Talleys and a 1” Burris I had laying around, ordered scope rings and picked up more ammo. Scope showed first rings just showed, shot last night.

Initial impressions only, to line up with wind I shot into sun going down about 15 degrees off it.

board at 40 quick look down bore and walk in reticle then shot 1 and was right on, moved to 100 and sent 3, moved 2 clicks left forgetting it was .2 mil/click and sent 5

So on scope, image quality excellent, eyebox gets touchy at 8x although eye relief still awesome and image although sun was doing no favours and I can’t compare yet to my nx8/atacr 1-8’s but that will eventually happen, but for its $ compared to those I’m tickled, and for what this rig will actually do which is almost entirely full tags inside 300 without solutions and live mostly at 2.75-4x (2.75 gets the 22.4” barrel out of the image) that reticle and dot is awesome and it’s absolutely incredible all the way down to 1x but think it’s more like 1.1, but if you have to trail something in thick stuff 1x gonna be amazing. It’s very user friendly, eye piece focus, mag ring, illum controls, turrets and how they are easy to set to zero after. So it’s gonna be a winner with only unknown being how it handles drops but a low built 30mm at stout 20.3 oz for its envelope should take what the kids etc can dish out.

Thanks for that. I think I’m going to give one a go. Price is good, and it’ll be tough enough for what I plan to do with it.

Been shooting it more, went looking for bear and took gong to see if drop confirm could happen, low wind all am so found 550 and sent 3. Looking back on that move to the left at 100 it’s prolly 3 clicks I rolled. Semantics but windage seemed a little harder to feel clicks as adjusting while zeroing I over corrected a couple times, but only on windage, not on elevation. Was anticipating 3.6 mil but held 3.5 as gong fit neatly between hashes, 3.7 it is. And dummied a coyote at 128 later so it was stellar for both options. The joy of .2 mil per click in finding actual distances and zeroes. Working my way back now. One more check at 450 or 500 will tell me if it’s where I want to be or if I want to move a click. We’re nearly there.
Happy with scope at both ends there. Zero fafo time up closer on a trotter, was on 3x and then no prob going to 550 on 8x.
