Very focused on my CO LE archery tag. I was able to pick up an archery bear tag for the same unit so I guess I am technically not just elk hunting.

Havent hunted with a gun since 1979 , altho this will be my 1st elk hunt and archery to boot , have had great success on White tails , Antelope and my one mule deer hunt turned out nicely as well , all with a bow

I prefer tag soup with a bow over tenderloin with a rifle. Been primarily a bowhunter since 1976. For me personally a Bang stick just seems like killing more than “hunting”.

I have zero desire to ever rifle hunt elk again. I plan the first two weeks of Sept for elk here in Montana. Then the last half of archery and general season is for deer. I'll take a week or two in the last half of Nov for the deer rut.
