Who puts different strings on a new bow?

I like to shoot the factory strings for a few hundred arrows to get them settled into the bow then I'll replace with a custom string set. This way I'll have a ready to go backup set.

It depends. Some bow companies use quality strings from the start. Bowtech makes their own, and they've always been as good as any aftermarket strings I've gotten.

I decided to shoot in the string/cables on my Hoyt from last year, but found that the stock cabling was really good (no creep or peep turn and good servings), so I left it on.

As many have mentioned all ready, I'll tune the bow to the stock strings and cables then replace with custom. I go ahead and tune the bow with originals and install a peep and loop with tied in nock point. That way if I ever need to put them on while away from my "home shop" they will be pretty close.

First thing I do... I prefer a string that I know for a fact will perform perfectly, not stretch and remain the same from the first shot on...
