Who is Gunwerk’s target customer

I shoot a Tikka now with Leica glass but I think GWs are sweet rifles. I know of a number of serious hunters that swear on them. I have considered them for my next rifle from my preferred gun store. I appreciate them as quality built rifles with things I'm looking for in my next rifle and I don't have much access to a custom builder where I'm at... so there they are offering what I want... I wouldn't consider buying their ammo though and would load my own.

All that said, I have a F350 Tremor too so maybe I'm just a simp. I calculated the $4K Tremor package cost was actually cheaper than upgrading a base Lariat with new wheels and tires and shocks, leveling the front, adding rear lockers, skid plates, diff breathers and more aftermarket... plus you get modes and features that you just couldn't add on your own if you wanted to...

Sure, I'm tweaking lots on the truck after 2.5 years with it now, but I was off the lot on day 1, capable and having fun back road and off road and towing in BC without F.ing around... love the truck.

I'm sure it would go the same with a GW.

I would say 100 percent shooter. My point is just because you buy one does not mean you can be deadly accurate at distance in real life hunting scenarios. You still have to put in sufficient time and effort to learn and maintain the fundamentals and foundation for accurate shooting.
I don't think anyone disagrees with your statement. It's the false, blanket statement that Gunwerks customers don't practice, that is incorrect. Gunwerks pushes their shooting classes pretty hard. The gun is capable of shooting LR. The shooter may or may not be.

And the point being, those people who aren’t “gun people” shouldn’t be shooting at live animals at “1000 yards out of the box.” That is a specialized skill set that absolutely should only be performed by “gun people” who are intimately familiar with all aspects of their rifle system. Not those that are only interested in the results.

I am now with you on this point. I just bought some ammo from Gunwerks (6 creed and 7SAUM custom loaded for $35??? Sign me up!!). Arrived today and here’s the tape on the box. The advertising runs strong….

Yep. Their marketing message is abundantly clear. It’s obvious what they are trying to do. I’m actually surprised there are so many supporters here. Their whole schtick is just gross to me.

I broke out my old Savage 99 today with a Weaver K4. Worked up a load that shot a 5/8” group. I had more fun and got more satisfaction out of shooting that rifle than I have in a long time. Even though I’ll likely never shoot past maybe 250 yards with that thing. It was way more fun and rewarding than banging away with my “1000 yard” guns.

I would argue that you can be a supporter of what they build and produce, and not agree with their marketing. That’s where I am in my rifle journey….
