I'm putting together a Tikka SBR build for Midwest whitetail hunting. All shots are 25-325 yards.

My initial thoughts were 6/22arc, but I have 6 & 22 creed barrels I could chop. My suppressor limits me to no less than 12.5".

Does anyone have a sub-14" creedmoor? Any regrets, velocities, experiences would be appreciated.

I'm shooting 16" now. At sea level you have to step on it to get long for caliber bullets moving. It's a priority for me that my bullets move in the 2700-2775fps range depending on BC.

If you go shorter to 14" or 12.5" you are probably going to be working with short for caliber bullets like 95tmk and 77tmk.

When I get a Rokstok Lite I'm probably going to build a 14" quick drop death machine with 95tmk.

95/77's are what I was thinking. If I could 2700 out of those, I'd be happy.

I know people always say, "most of my shots are sub-100 yards but I want to be able to shoot 400 just in case," but my actual split is probably 2/3 under 100 and 1/3 ~250-320.

I have no experience with sub-14 inches. However, my 14" integrally-suppressed 22 CM with Hornady factory 80-grainers are going over 3,000 fps. If you go below 14, I'd suggest going down in case size or up in bullet diameter.

Have 12.5” 6.5cm, and have used quite a few 14.5” 6cm’s. They’re great, zero issues with distance limitations except for normal impact velocity limits.
