When in Montana I use my binos to spot the does then start the real search with the spotting scope. Because in late November you want to be in your scope as soon as it gets light to try and find those big ones in their bed. Or during the mid-day when they are taking their nap. You need something powerful enough to look through the brush at 1000 to 1500 yards, an ear or piece of horn, nose, anything that doesn't look right.
