There are some amazing whitetails on here. I only have this little guy. If you are wondering why Im not in any of the pics with the deer its because I shot him across canyon at 352 yards and nobody would go over and get him with me, lazy hunting partners. First pic is the deer he was facing me at a downhill angle left to right. Second pic is where I shot from, theres my brother somewhere over there and third is me almost back to the truck.
Sorry guys...been getting my a$$ handed to me at work the last few weeks. Evan, I have a ton of big old mature deer, but unfortunately in my neck of the woods mature does not mean big score. I have a ton of 118"-130" 3.5 and 4.5 year old bucks. A fair amount of 4.5-5.5 year olds that go up to that 140 range.....my 6.5 yr old this year comes in at the low 160's....I'll post up a few pics.
My 2011 public land big woods buck. The most mentally challenging whitetail hunt I have ever done. I'll be doing a write up evenutally on it. Estimated 6.5-8.6 years old. 226# completely dressed. Low 160's. If the Nontypical side matched the typical side he would be Boone....
Passed a 1.5 year old buck about noon opening day. Shot this buck as hours expired on day 11......the second deer of my season. I got him as he slunk out of the cedar swamp a little early to hit the oak ridge. Another 3-4 minutes and he would have been safe. 4.5 year old, 213#, 119"
2007. Shot this guy just before 10 am seconds after he got done working a scrape, November 4th. This deer came off a stand about 400 yards from the stand where I shot my 2011 buck. Estimated by teeth at 5.5 years old, 126", 217#.
I love hunting coues deer! Ive got two with a rifle and I'm going this year with a bow! Where did you get your deer and did you hunt from a blind over water or spot and stalk?
