I use a whisker biscuit. The simplicity and cost out weigh any perceive cons for me. I'll use them for a long time I believe.

I have shot WB for 10+ years. Probably will never shoot anything else. I do some spot and stalk, and don't want to put pressure on a prong or something and break it off. don't want the mechanical malfunction for one reason or another. Also, I know people who have done some testing and there really is only 1-2fps drop from the biscuit. However, the drop away can help diminish some small flaws in form or imbalanced bow, etc. That being said, with proper form and properly set up bow, WB can be deadly accurate to 100+ yards. It gets the job done for me and is cheap, and you can just change out the whiskers when they get worn down.
