Considering Roy killed Cape buffalo and giraffe and who knows what else with a 257, you could use it outside of Texas too…

257 WBY is a perfect deer/antelope specialty cartridge

I used to hunt pronghorns with a vanguard 257 weatherby. That would be a great cartridge for texas.

I’m partial to an Accumark in 6.5/300 Weatherby. That covers deer, elk , sheep, or anything you want to hunt. Accumark is a great platform. Heavy but worth it. Good hunting!
