Ultimately I am revamping my gun library away from 90° bolt throws. That is the only thing I don’t like about my Kimber 280AI.My brother in law has that rifle in 300. It’s a hoss so that’s how I voted. If you already have a 280 why not try something else?
Most of my hunting is in Texas. Thus the 6CM.
If the 6.5 RPM works out well, it may become my elk gun (it was an impulse buy last year).
i’ve had issues with my 300 WSM accuracy wise, so it has stayed home. But I believe I’ve sorted that out recently by bedding the rail properly (I discovered the front had significant gap) in addition to degreasing the action scope mount threads (screws kept backing out even with loctite). All self inflicted.
