Yeah. They are built like tanks. I think my overload was close to 10# unloaded with a couple of pouches on the belt.
If you can put up with some wheeling and dealing, I bet you could flip it and come away with enough to fund a brand new top tier hunting pack on sale like a sawtooth or something. That frame goes for $150-200 on eBay. Pack is probably another $200 or more. You might get $350-400 or more to sell as a set. Plenty of MR fanboys out there in the world so make sure you list it internationally if you use the bay and make buyer pay shipping. Packs are bulky and pricey to ship.
