I am considering buying one of the three supposid M4 Clones for a dedicated home defence shotgun and NFW can I afford a M2, M4, 1301 or even an A300 Ultimate patrol so a M4 Clone it is.
Ones I am considering:
#1- Stoeger M3000 Freedom Series pistol grip extended magazine
#2- Military Armament Corporation 1014 pistol grip EX/MAG
#3- Panzer Arms M4 Tactical Pistol grip EX/MAG
For those who have experience with any or all three which do you recommend and if you please a basic explanation as to why you recommend one over the other.
I have watched at least 10 review and torture/reliability tests for each gun and they all seem to function well with at least well enough with trap loads as a minimum power shell, but I did watch the MAC 1014 fire 1200fps trap loads very reliably as did the Stoeger if you held the Stoeger loosely while shooting. In my opinion if I actually God forbid ever need to use the firearm in a self preservation situation I would be using strictly #4 buckshot and 1oz slugs as I have a HUGE number of Active 1oz Foster slugs.
They are close enough in cost To MY Door price isn't really a factor. Looking for which one has the best chance at highest reliability and durability with tarp loads up to full power slugs and Buckshot . While yes I will test whichever shotgun I buy it for reliability, how well it shoots #4 buckshot and 1oz slugs, and shoot it +/- 100 times a year to keep familiar with it, I will not be burning up a lot of rounds through it on a regular basis.
This will be my goto HD shotgun replacing a old standard 21" 3" 870 12ga.
