Which knots do you use when fishing?

Uni-uni looks easier than alberto. Anyone have a reason why 1 is better than the other? I've heard alberto has a smaller footprint is all.
I prefer a Uni to Uni with fluoro leader 12# and under. Beyond that, the knot starts to get too big which is when I switch to Alberto. The Alberto works all the way up to >100#.

I use a surgeon with 7 wraps for braid to leader, its faster & less hassle than uni-uni for me. Ranch Fairy has a good video on his channel testing this knot. Uni for flouro/ mono to lure and palomar for braid to lure. Snell if I'm fishing bait.

Bimini for braid loops to attach wind-on.
PR for braid to fluoro (tie prior to trip) FG once fishing commences.
Palomar for braid to terminal tackle.
Springer for terminal tackle above 50, SD below 50 (or trilene)

Palomar is my go-to, just because I can tie it well/better than anything else.

Anyone who works at my local bowshops can attest I suck at knots and therefore leave that tuning to the pros.

I'm literally sitting here avoiding spooling a reel because I know it's going to be a process with how "well" I tie an arbor knot.

If using straight braid palomar. Alberto or crazy Alberto for leaders. San Diego Jam with regular sized fluorocarbon, mono, or co-poly. For fishing big swimbaits or heavy line double San Diego Jam. If tying stinger hooks use 7 haywire twists with single strand wire I like to use 60-80lb. That should cover everything

If you want to nerd out on fishing knots check out Toit fishing on YouTube. He tests a bunch of the popular knots; both terminal and line to line with some kind of scientific line breaker. He also tests each knot with different weights of braid, mono, and floro. It is pretty interesting.

I have never progressed to any other knot beside the one I learned as a kid... Still rocking the improved clinch knot
I hit the saltwater a lot and i cant tell you how often, right in the middle of a wide open tuna bite i just revert back to an improved clinch and I swear I have never lost a fish because of it. Sure i love the SD Jam but I believe we way overthink this stuff some times

I run a charter boat and fish up to 18 people a day. Nearshore rockfish, halibut tuna salmon etc.
5 knots get used. Palomar to tie on a swivel.
Alberto for braid to flouro.
Snell for salmon bait hooks.
Trilene knot for big lures
Dropper loop for bait on halibut rig.
Zero issues ever catching about 12000 fish a year.

Improved clinch
Rapala loop
Double surgeon
Blood knot

Davy knot- this is great for tying small flies on small tippet. I learned it from a guide on the South Holston where we were changing flies every few casts. Can tie it really quickly with a short tag end.

So it's that time of the year again where I have to relearn my 2 knots. I use the Alberto knot to do fluorocarbon leader to braid, and I use a Palomar knot to tie on lures. Are there any other knots needed or recommend?
The John Collins knot is my favorite braid to mono or flouro (used to tie the Albright) it’s really small profile, strong, and easy to tie

Mono I pretty much tie the uni (some particular mono in certain size ties better with the pitzen) and I always use the pitzen on flouro

Blood knot- braid to fluoro
Polomar- direct to hook
Improved clinch -when don't have the patience for polomar
Egg loops- for float fishing
That's all of them I use
